“Great location, helpful staff and value for money”

This hotel was a little difficult to find, but once we did find it was in a great location, just off St Mark’s Square and easy walking distance to the vaporetto. A steep climb up the stairs to reception but we managed and I’m sure the staff would have helped if we’d asked. The room was clean and had everything that we needed, but very small! The bed was comfortable and the area quiet, we slept very well, except for the night that a school group was staying and there were kids running up and down the passages yelling out to one another and slamming doors after 12.00 midnight, but the man on reception sorted them out once I went and complained. No view, our window opened out onto a wall and a pigeon woke us up one morning while cooing on the window sill! Breakfast was ok, have had a lot worse, but not much variety. You can pay to use the computer and they let us print our boarding passes when we were ready to leave. The staff were very helpful. Make sure you do the clock tower tour while in Venice – it was wonderful. Either book online or at the Correr Museum. A must do!
